Vitrified Super Abrasive
Wheel Series for Ease of Use and Economic Efficiency
The GMS wheel series have long been appreciated as "Gomashio
(sesame and salt) grinding stone", the first porous
low-concentration vitrified wheel in the industry, which
was pioneered by Mitsui Grinding Wheel. Truing is easily
done using a single-point dresser or impregnated dresser.
These wheels' excellent grinding capability delivered
by super-abrasive grains provides outstanding performance
for machining hard and difficult-to-grind materials such
as high-speed steel and SUS440C having a HRC hardness
over 60.
Ease of dressing
Truing and dressing are easily performed using a single-point
dresser or impregnated dresser, so conventional grinding
machines for general-purpose wheels can be used as they
are.
High machining accuracy
Superior grinding performance provides high dimensional
accuracy and profile accuracy.
Low wear of grinding
wheel
Even compared to the best general-purpose abrasive grain,
namely ceramic abrasive grain, the GMS wheel features
an overwhelmingly higher grinding ratio and remarkably
long operating life.
Shorter machining
time
The combination of highly porous bond and super abrasiveness
with good grinding capability brings outstanding cutting
sharpness and good heat radiation, resulting in significantly
shorter machining time.
